For the safety of your guests, tents need to be professionally secured with ropes and tethers. The tethers are, preferably, tied to stakes which are driven into the ground to secure the frame. Stakes can be driven into most surfaces including grass, gravel, or dirt. Sometimes it is not possible to stake tents because of utility lines, sprinkler systems, sewer systems, or impermeable surfaces. In that case, we use barrels filled with water to secure the tent.
